NWS Announces Encore WALLCAST™ Concert Series
In early 2017 the New World Symphony will launch a new WALLCAST™ experience: the Encore WALLCAST™ concert series, presented by Citi! Debuting January 7 at 7:30 PM, the series will feature previous WALLCAST™ concert programs, giving audiences the opportunity to enjoy the WALLCAST™ concert experience while catching past programs that they missed, or reliving their favorite programs anew. The four-concert, Saturday-night series will take place on nights when the New World Symphony is not performing live, which will also give Fellows the opportunity to enjoy Encore WALLCAST™ concerts on the lawn of SoundScape Park, alongside audience members! Additionally, the atrium of the New World Center will be open to the public during Encore WALLCAST™ concerts, giving outdoor audiences the opportunity to come inside the building and see the Frank Gehry-designed laboratory of the New World Symphony, to learn more about the academy and its fellowship program and to experience food and beverages offerings from Thierry’s, which will be available for purchase.
Encore WALLCAST™ concerts will expand the number and frequency of programs in SoundScape Park, and will extend past the New World Symphony’s curricular season, with two of the four events occurring after its final performance of the season.
