Support New World Symphony on #GiveMiamiDay, Nov. 21
For the eighth year, New World Symphony (NWS) joins more than 700 local non-profit organizations for Give Miami Day, 24-hours of online giving hosted by The Miami Foundation on Thursday, November 21.
Each year, NWS features select facets of our fellowship and community programs for our annual Give Miami Day campaign. This year, we’re highlighting how NWS Fellows cultivate meaningful relationships with our South Florida community, both at the New World Center and to neighborhoods across Miami-Dade County. Through these projects, most of their own design, Fellows are helping bring South Floridians together through shared stories and interests while underscoring the importance of the arts in daily life.

Peruse the videos below that highlight two unique Fellow projects from the 2018-19 season and one of NWS’s treasured annual traditions, and please consider making a gift to New World Symphony on Give Miami Day to continue supporting our free community programming and to enable us to bring classical music to all of South Florida.
Harp Fellow Chloe Tula presented Tales from the Harp, a yearlong recital series she created and presented at branches of the Miami-Dade Public Library.
Bassoon alumnus Francisco Joubert Bernard shared Puerto Rico´s most popular folkloric music styles and their origins at the New World Center and Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM). Click here to watch his full recital.
NWS’s annual Side-by-Side Concert welcomes around 60 young musicians from the South Florida community to the New World Center, where they rehearse and perform alongside Michael Tilson Thomas and NWS Fellows for a transformative week.
