Three Fellows Perform for their Youngest Fans
New World Symphony Fellows shared the healing power of music with children undergoing treatment at Holtz Children’s Hospital, located inside Jackson Memorial Hospital, on Tuesday, January 26.
Fellows Maya Cohon (Violin), Rebecca Reale (Violin), and Mary Reed (Double Bass) played a live performance for the children, their parents and loved ones, as well as doctors and nurses, inside the hospital's recreational area. This initiative is part of New World Symphony’s ongoing partnership with Jackson Health System and its continued commitment to sharing the art of music with the community.
The Fellows will perform at Jackson Memorial Hospital throughout New World Symphony’s 2015-16 season, which ends with the symphony’s finale concert in May.
