Hannah Corbett

Hannah Corbett is a Canadian violinist and Fellow at the New World Symphony. Named one of CBC Music’s “30 Hot Classical Musicians Under 30” in 2025, she recently appeared as a soloist in Bach’s Double Concerto with Shunske Sato, and Brandenburg Concerto No. 4 under Stéphane Denève, and served as concertmaster for Michael Tilson Thomas’s final performance with the New World Symphony. Hannah was a 2026 New Fromm Player at Tanglewood, where she specialized in the performance of contemporary music by living composers. 

Recent orchestral engagements include performances with The Cleveland Orchestra, The Philadelphia Orchestra, Toronto Symphony Orchestra, Charleston Symphony and the Mainly Mozart All-Star Orchestra, as well as concertmaster appearances at the Tanglewood Music Center, and Principal Second with the 2023 New York String Orchestra at Carnegie Hall. 

As a chamber musician, Hannah has collaborated with artists including Philip Setzer, David Shifrin, Lawrence Dutton, Colin Carr, Norman Fischer and Scott St. John. A two-time winner of the Felix Galimir Chamber Music Award, she has received coaching from members of the Guarneri, Juilliard, Dover, St. Lawrence and Emerson string quartets. 

Hannah earned degrees from Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music and University of Toronto, where she studied with Cho-Liang Lin and Jonathan Crow.
